Oglethorpe Power donates $3k to Walton County Boys & Girls Club

Long-time supporter of the Walton County Boys & Girls Club, Oglethorpe Power, recently donated $3,000 toward the Club. 

“We love partnering with you,” Mary Long, Senior Community Relations Coordinator with Oglethorpe Power.

Long added supporting the Club with program supplies, volunteer time and now financially is further step in a long-standing relationship with the Club. 

“Oglethorpe Power is helping the Walton County Boys & Girls Club fulfill our mission to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible, citizens,” Monica Trimble, Senior Executive Director said.

With the support of $3,000.00 Trimble said the Club can provide:

·     Fifteen Teens with a free afterschool membership scholarship opportunity.  

·     Afterschool STEM and STEAM program/ activities for youth.

·     Outdoor youth development skills

“We at the Walton County Boys & Girls Club of North Central Georgia work for the benefit of the children and need volunteers from time to time to help us in this life-changing program,” Trimble shared. “Oglethorpe Power’s partnership will assist us in reaching our goal in helping those that need us the most in the Walton County.”
