Imagine cheering for your lucky rubber ducky as it makes it away around the bend of Porterdale’s Yellow River and low and behold your duck crosses first – you win $10,000!

Well you can see this happen June 30 at the Yellow River Park in Porterdale, as the Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central Georgia hosts its Duck Derby race!

Duck Derby will take place June 30 from 5 until dark, where community members can adopt a duck to save a child’s life!

For every duck you adopt, participants not only increase your odds of winning the $10,000 grand prize, they also help continue the world class programs that BGCNCG offers over 1,500 youth in North Central Georgia.

But, you don’t have to wait until June 30 to adopt your duck, you can grab your adoption papers right now at www.bgcncg.com/duckderby!

Buy your lucky duck for $20!

The event will have plenty of family fun, live music, cold drinks and fireworks to close the evening with a bang.

If your lucky duck doesn’t wield you the $10,000, don’t worry said Bob Mackey, CEO & President of BGCNCG, there are other great opportunities at stake.

“You have the chance to win four tickets to Disney World, Your Pie for a year, a Golf adventure at The Oaks Golf Course in Covington or a Weber Grill,” he shared. “The greatest part about this unique family fun day is that your chances of winning our $10,000 grand prize have greater odds than the lottery!”

Mackey said this event is way for the community at large to provide bright futures in a big way to Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central Georgia.

“Your participation helps BGCNCG provide life-enhancing programs and character-building experiences to over 1,500 youth in North Central Georgia,” he said. “Our Club doors are open during the hours of 3-7 pm, which are hours where we have changed and saved young lives. We want every child in our communities to be in a safe, constructive environment when they are not at home or in school. We provide that safe haven for youth every year, but there are thousands more who need it, and can’t do it alone.”

Our sponsors for this event have helped make this event possible, said Mackey.
