Encouraging a healthy lifestyle is among one of the several lessons the Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central Georgia strives to provide the youth it serves. Bringing their “active play” attitude to the public, BGCNCG will host its annual Day For Kids celebration Saturday, 23 from 10 AM to 1 PM.

Parents and their youth are encouraged to join this community celebration, as the event is open to the public.

The event will be held at BGCNCG’s Madison-Morgan County Boys & Girls Club located at 920 Pearl Street in Madison, GA. Free lunch will be provided to all participants.

Day for Kids celebrates the life changing work taking place at Boys & Girls Clubs each day by encouraging adults to spend meaningful time with young people and engage in fun and active play.

All parents and club members from BGCNCG will take the field at MMCC for a day of play.

For Moncia Trimble, Senior Executive Director of Walton County Boys & Girls Club, this day is another way to model positive behaviors.

“One of the most important things we can do as adults for the youth we serve, is to model the positive behaviors we want to see from them by living a healthy lifestyle, demonstrating great character and leadership skills, and promoting the importance of academic success,” said Trimble.

Day For Kids is a great chance for community members who may not be familiar with Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central Georgia to see first hand the great futures being created inside club walls.

“Day for Kids is just one example of the amazing work we do each day to enable kids and teens to reach their full potential by staying on track to graduate, demonstrating good character and citizenship and practicing healthy lifestyles,” said Karen Roberston, Senior Executive Director of Madison-Morgan Boys & Girls Club.
